Landscape, Pool & Gazebo Lighting
Most outdoor living in St. George happens after the sun goes down, for about six months of the year. A back yard that is unusable at two in the afternoon in July is the best room in the house at nine at night — but only if you can see it.
We install low-voltage landscape lighting: path and step lights, uplighting into trees and rock, pool and water-feature lighting, and lighting for patios, pergolas and gazebos. It is year-round lighting, not seasonal, and it is installed to sit out in this climate.
What we light
- Paths, steps and driveways. The safety half of the job. Level changes, gravel edges and pool surrounds are where people actually fall in the dark.
- Trees, rock and desert planting. Uplighting into a mature tree or a rock feature is the single highest-impact fixture in most local yards, because the landscaping here has real structure to light.
- Patios, pergolas and gazebos. Overhead bistro strings, structure-mounted downlights, and step or bench lighting.
- Façade and architectural. Washing the house itself, columns, entries and garage bays.
Built for this climate
The desert here is hard on outdoor fixtures in a specific way: intense UV, long hot summers, and hard water. Cheap fixtures fail here in a season or two — the lens clouds, the finish chalks, and the seal at the cable joint goes.
What matters is the parts you cannot see. Sealed fixtures, properly rated cable, and joints made to last rather than twisted and taped. That is most of the difference between a system that still looks right in year five and one you replace.
Installed any time of year
Unlike Christmas lighting, this is not a November job. Landscape lighting goes in whenever the ground is workable, and spring and autumn are the easiest times to schedule it — which is also when you most want to be outside using it.

In southern Utah: St. George, Washington, Santa Clara, Ivins, Leeds, Hurricane, Cedar City and Kanab. In northern Utah we work in Lehi, across Utah Valley and in Salt Lake City and along the Wasatch Front.

Is this the same as the permanent Christmas lighting?
No. Permanent holiday lighting is a color-changing channel on the roofline. Landscape lighting is fixtures in the ground and on structures, lighting the yard. Plenty of people have both, and they run independently.
Will the wiring be visible?
No. Low-voltage cable is buried or run tight to structure. The fixtures are meant to be seen at night and disappear in daylight.
Can I add to it later?
Yes, provided the transformer is sized for it. We size it with headroom so you can add a zone later without replacing the whole supply.
Does it run all night?
It runs on a timer or a photocell, usually dusk until late evening. You choose.
